The Corinthian Sports Club - November 2010
I would like to take this opportunity of wishing Kent FA u18's every success in today's match (13/11/10) currently being played at the Longmead Stadium in Tonbridge against Bucks & Berks, in the first round of the FA County Youth Cup. Kent won this cup last season, and were runners up in the season before.
Corinthian FC has a vested interest as there are 5 Corinthian players involved for the Kent side today, with another 2 more of our lads in the squad-unable to play today as rules dictate only so many players from one club may play!
This must be a testament to our club, the coaches and the facilities, that we have so many talented youngsters here at Corinthian's.
The Corinthian squad is extremely young- at the start of this season only 3 players had passed their 20th birthdays (and by not very much at that). Our Suburban League make the Kent League side look positively old- over half of them could still be playing u18 football! Both of our senior teams play in men's leagues, and although they occasionally are finding this tough, we believe that by giving them this opportunity it will help them develop as players and individuals both on the football pitch and in life in general.
We are very committed to the progression of our players- taking delight when our players progress through the Corinthian set up onto higher leagues, although often so frustrating for our coaches who invest so much time and effort in bringing on the individual so he may reach his potential, only to see them to progress to another club.
Leagues we play in are:
