The Billings Group of companies are a property orientated group of companies owned and managed by the Billings Family and based in Fawkham, Kent. They have grown organically over the years into a diverse group including various trading companies as well as the core property investment arm which has underpinned it's commercial and financial success and stability for over 70 years.
Their property interests cover most of the south-east corner of England from Essex through to the Isle of Wight, but particularly in Kent where they are the largest privately owned, non-funded social housing provider with over 400 properties in either the shared ownership or rented sectors providing a unique service for the communities around which they operate. Corporate and social responsibility are inherent in the ethos of the family group.
Their investment arm have an extensive portfolio of properties across the South-East ranging from large agricultural holdings, to leisure, to retail and even to holiday lets.
As a trading entity the group have a number of subsidiary companies including a development arm which currently has projects with values well in excess of a 40m spread across the region. The development arm has many years of expertise most notably in the house building industry but also in the commercial sector.
Loyalty is highly valued by the company and they are proud that a number of employees have been with the 'family' for over 40 years.
Notwithstanding the history and stability of the group, they have been quick to embrace new technologies, one subsidiary being a market leader in the design and delivery of controlled environments predominantly used in the leading research establishments in the country, another subsidiary delivering ground-breaking screening methods for early cancer detection.
At the same time, their agricultural business remains one of the largest cereal and dairy producers left in West Kent whilst the leisure department are particularly well known for the outstanding and philanthropic contribution they have made over many years to youth football in the county, under the guise of Corinthian Football Club.
